I’m a guy who very much enjoys being with his family. We have a lot of fun, try to get out and do new things – or at least something – on the weekends. During the week, we try to keep up with the activities we enjoy, like cub scouts, soccer, and swimming.
During my work time, I generally enjoy myself. I’m a SQL Server Database Administrator now, though previously I mostly worked with Oracle. I really enjoy databases and the daily challenge they give when you believe it can always work better. I also develop in VB6 and VB.NET and know my way around a stylesheet and some XML.
I started a blog because there are things that I’ve done or thought of that I would like to share. Blogs are also a great place to keep things you don’t want to lose. I’ve done some things at work that could help others out, but this will also give me somewhere to put those things so they are very portable. I’ve also had some scouting ideas, art projects, good books, and other things I might like to tell the whole world about in my own corner of narcissistic glor-ay! So, this will do nicely for that, too.
